Gov. Emmanuel’s Aide Bags EDSS National Patron Award

The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Electronic Media, Ambassador Sampson Akpan, has been decorated as the National Patron and Core Cornel of Eagle Defence and Security Services (EDSS), a foremost security outfit in the state.

He was decorated in the office of the Media Aide at the Government House Press Center, Uyo.

The General Commandant, EDSS, Core General Uduakobong Udoh, felicitated Ambassador Sampson on his appointment to serve as Media Aide in Udom Emmanuel’s administration and prayed God to grant him the wisdom and good health to move Akwa Ibom to enviable heights.

Core LT. General Edifon D. Etuk, Director of Administration of the outfit, in his speech, mentioned the core functions of this outfit to include; war against corruption, illegal dumping of waste both along the streets and major roads within the state; crowd control, domestic and industrial security services, escort services, intelligent information gathering, and the maintenance of peace and order in collaboration with other security agencies in the state.

Reacting to the gesture, Ambassador Sampson Akpan thanked the National Executive and the entire members of Eagles Defence and Security Services for the honor done him and expressed happiness over the decision of EDSS to partner the media as he is the mouthpiece in the media circle for the current administration.

He mentioned that peace, security and well-being of Akwa Ibom citizens remain paramount in the Udom Emmanuel-led administration. He however pledged his unalloyed support to the organization and tasked them to only enroll men of proven integrity into the outfit.

He ended with the suggestion that the outfit extends its operations to other states across the nation.

Eagles Defence SECURITY Services was formed in 2005 by men and women of proven integrity and is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). They are affiliated with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
