The Etim Ekpo Local Government Chairman, Rt. Hon. Udeme Eduok, in his reaction, commended the Works Commissioner for deeming it feet to come with his team to assess the roundabout.

He acknowledged the fact that the roads could have been done earlier this year but is delayed due to the dwindling economy.

Mr Inyang-Eyen urged the youths of the area to be peace abiding and support the contractors to deliver the jobs on time.

On the Abak/Ikot Abasi road which is in a very terrible state, the he assured that prompt measures would be put in place to alleviate the sufferings of motorists who have been complaining about the deplorable state of the road in order to prevent the experience on calabar-Itu road.

On the issue of compensation to beneficiaries, he noted that all the demolished structures had be duly compensated for before time and that nobody should try to hold the government to ransom after they have been compensated and ordered to vacate their structures.
