AKSG Solicits Foreign-Based NGOs’ Support For State Development

The Akwa Ibom State Government has solicited support of Foreign-based Non-Governmental Organisations to fast track the development of the state.

Governor Udom Emmanuel canvassed the support when he received the President of Christian Prayer Network, Bishop Bill Hamon, who called on him at Government House, Uyo.

He said: “Challenges in the country require prayers and the state has hosted renowned Gospel Ministers in recent times, this is a signal of a new dawn in the state.”

Governor Emmanuel said that faith based organisations can assist in the development of the state by donating medical equipment, Books and partnering in it development efforts.

He recalled that the early missionaries established Schools, hospitals and urged the present crop of International religious organisations to do same and improve the welfare of humanity.

Earlier, the President Christian International Prayer Network, Bishop Hamon said that God has great plans for Nigeria and that the challenges affecting the economy would be overcome through prayers and righteousness of the elect.

He added that Nigeria is destined to be a great nation and prayed for it rapid manifestation in the state and country.

The Cleric lauded the development strides of the state administration and pledged to support it by highlighting areas of cooperation with his home Country.
