Since the dissolution of the State Executive Council last weekend by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, all fingers have remained crossed in expectation of who will be nominated in the new Exco list.
The State Governor, while fielding questions from Government House Correspondents on arrival from Lagos State for official engagement, at the Ibom International Airport, on Thursday, said he would be meticulous and transparent in the reconstitution of the next State Executive Council.
Governor Emmanuel hinted that the administration, under his watch, is committed to ensure that his campaign promises are fulfilled and the programmes of the administration vigorously pursued based on need assessment.
He said that the next State Executive Council would comprise persons that would sustain the drive for the industrialisation of the state.
The Governor indicated that his administration was not relenting on efforts at ensuring the realisation of the vision of the present government to justify the mandate given by the people.
He solicited the cooperation of the entire people of the state on issues of governance, assuring that in no time the state Executive Council would be reconstituted.
On hand to receive the Governor were his Deputy Mr Mosses Ekpo, Director General Divine Mandate, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, Secretary to the State Government Sir Etekamba Umoren, Head of Civil Service Mrs Ekerebong Akpan, Permanent Secretaries and Aides to the Governor.
