The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, in a bid to entrust the affairs of the state into capable hands, has disclosed that he is not under pressure to name his new Exco members.
This is against the news making the round by the media, lobbyists and other groups that the Governor is in tensed pressure in his decision on who makes the list
The Governor disclosed this on Thursday while briefing Government House correspondents at the International Airport, on his arrival from official engagement.
Since the dissolution of the State Executive Council was announced two weeks ago, there have been reports of lobbying desperate moves by former cabinet members for another shot at the executive council.
The dissolution had led to unrest among top politicians in the state as they are skeptical over their protégé of retaining their various portfolios in the state.
Governor Emmanuel noted that he would go for the best hands but remarked that such persons should be able to recite and understand the Dakkada re-orientation philosophy creed.
