No fewer than 11 youths and women this week got the true message of Christmas in Akwa Ibom State as they were rewarded with N100,000 each under the aegis of two charity organisations, Sisters of Udom Emmanuel (SUE) and Mandate Preservation Group (MPG).

It was the Christmas edition of the grassroots empowerment meeting of the two sister organisations that convoke to continue promoting the cause of supporting Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration.

According to the Board of Trustees Chairman of Sisters of Udom Emmanuel, Mrs Aidy Thomas, the essence of the coming together of the groups is to bring the government closer to the people.

She said apart from the 11 winners, every other member of the groups would be given some gifts in the spirit of the season.

The BOT Chairman of MPG, Mr Ekerete Emmanuel, commended the people for their continuous support to the Governor, assuring that with the policy framework of the administration, more people will continue to benefit under the present dispensation.

He urged everyone to be patient and continue in their support, tasking those who have so far benefited from the administration to extend some measure of kindness to others.
